Ending Abortion

Paul Jablonowski

June 09, 2019

In my last newsletter, I wrote about David's Tent and how in my going on this mission trip to our nation's capital: "I am fully expecting good things to happen as a result in America." What I did not expect was that it would be towards the ending of abortion in America. But then again, that is usually how the Holy Spirit works! He just leads one step at a time, revealing only the necessary details to fellowship with HIM until the next step is shown. This is what our relational walk with Jesus our Creator is all about!

Fifteen of us from all over the state of Alabama met in Washington, DC to take turns leading worship in David's Tent the week of Apr 28-May 4, 2019. This tent is currently located on the DC mall between the Capital building and the Washington monument (both of which can be seen from the tent location). This current tent has been singing to Jesus non-stop for over 3 and 1/2 years! 24 hours per day and 7 days per week since Sept 11, 2015! A continual love song to King Jesus! Pictured here is the David's Tent in DC with two worship leaders from Alabama: JoAnna from Dothan, and Anna from Huntsville.

It was Anna's 7 year old boy named Christian who sang his heart out for about 15 minutes from the stage that released a sound from heaven to help end abortion in our land. It was a very simple song, since all he sang was "Holy is Your Name," but Psalms 8 says, "Out of the mouths of babes and infants He has ordained STRENGTH!" And great power was released in America from this heartfelt song of a child. The same day Christian sang, was the day when the Alabama House of Representatives passed the bill to ban abortion in Alabama which made the national news.

While passing laws is not going to change the hearts of men, I do believe that this type of worship warfare in David's Tent DOES go a long way in shifting things in the spiritual realm so that people's hearts will change for the good towards pro-life.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 says, "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for pulling down strongholds."

A stronghold is a mindset that is not easily changed. Demons and devils are to be cast out, but we "wrestle with strongholds" such as the mindset of killing our children before they are born.

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12)

Jason Hershey wrote in his "David's Tent" book that he felt like this 24/7/365 worship in Washington, DC would be instrumental in ending abortion. So, how appropriate that delegates from Alabama would be leading worship during the week when Alabama would initiate the law to end abortion!

All 15 of us bunked at Embassy Church which was the first Pentecostal church in DC, and its current location is one block from the National Cathedral which I personally circled in prayer walking. Since our lodging was on Embassy row, we were able to pass up many of the national embassies and pray for the nations as we traveled to the Tent each day. It was also the National Day of Prayer on the Thursday we were in DC, and we felt the prayers of the entire nation for helping to end abortion this week.

A ministry called "Holy Nation" started "The coffin of the Unknown Baby" intercession tour the same week we were in DC. Similar to the Tomb of the unknown soldier, this coffin did lie in state on May 1, 2019 in DC, and then began a tour of all 48 states with escorts in each state. The coffin will then return to Washington DC on July 12th weekend. This group is praying a prayer of repentance for abortion and offers a Declaration of Repentance as well.

As a group we also visited with the Intercessors For America(1) which has headquarters directly behind the Supreme Court. Together we toured the Supreme Court and prayed for the Ancient of Days to have His ways in our nation.

"I watched till thrones were put in place,
And the Ancient of Days was seated;
His garment was white as snow,
And the hair of His head was like pure wool.
His throne was a fiery flame,
Its wheels a burning fire.
"
Daniel 7:9

The Daniel 7:9 verse quoted above was a key theme that I sang on Thursday in David's Tent on the National Day of Prayer. The night before, my friend Jason Alexander (who I traveled with to DC from Alabama) had a dream where he saw and heard audibly "Daniel seven, nine!" He did not even know what this verse was until he looked it up. We knew it was important to psalm it in the tent that day, and so I sang that verse Daniel 7:9 with spontaneous music for about an hour. As I finished, my friend Roby from college just happened to be in DC & walk by the tent and we had a great time catching up!

I believe we are living in the time of Daniel 7:22 being fulfilled where the Ancient of Days is being seated and the time for the saints to rule with Him in the earth has arrived. The sanctity of life is a crucial understanding for those who will rule with the Ancient of Days. I wrote about this over 10 years ago in one of my first newsletters called Civil Rights for the Unborn. Abortion is judgment in itself. Can you think of a worse judgment or curse than killing our own children before they are even born? But this veil of deception is being lifted by God's grace.

The week after we returned from DC, the Alabama Senate passed the law making abortion a felony. Andy, who coordinates DavidsTent Alabama, was at the Montgomery Capital on this day and he noted the time this bill passed at 8:44 pm and looked up Luke 8:44 which says, "immediately the flow of blood stopped!" The following week, on May 15, 2019, the Alabama governor, Kay Ivey, signed this bill into law making it a felony in Alabama to perform an abortion.

Georgia and Alabama are leading the nation in ending abortion. Their abbreviated letters GA and AL spell the Hebrew word "GAAL" which means "blood avenger" or redeemer. A blood avenger is one like Boaz who raised up a family lineage for Ruth and Naomi in the Scriptures. The Hebrew concept of a blood avenger and redeemer is one who not only protects the lives of family, but saves them!
